Details

Amtramine is also known as amtriamtan, amitanyl monoaminobacterin, amitanyl carboxylaminobacterin, aztramine, carbendazone, carbendazone, and thioxime monoamistin. Its English name is Aztreonam, AZACTAM, AZACTAM, Aztreonamum, Primbactam, Primbactin, and it is a new type of beta-lactam antibiotic of Monobactams. It was first discovered in the culture medium of Chromobacterium violaceum in soil bacterium in New Jersey in 1978 and has been synthesized.

Mechanism of action

Amtraline is a bactericide. It can quickly pass through the outer membrane wall of gram-negative aerobic bacteria and has a high affinity for penicillin binding protein 3(pbp-3). By acting on pbp-3, it inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, leading to cell lysis and death.

Amtrunan antibacterial spectrum is narrow, only to aerobic gram-negative bacteria with antibacterial effect, such as e. coli, klebsiella, sarrei, strange proteobacteria, indole-positive proteobacteria, citicella, haemophilus influenzae, pseudomonas aeruginosa and other pseudomonas, some enterobacteria, gonococci and so on. This product is highly stable to beta lactamase produced by many bacteria. No activity to gram - positive bacteria and anaerobic bacteria. Compared with ceftazidine and gentamicin, the effect of amtrundan on aerogenic bacillus and enterobacter cloacae was higher than that of ceftazidine, but lower than that of gentamicin. The effect on pseudomonas aeruginosa was lower than that of cefatadine and similar to gentamicin
