It is reddish brown under alkaline conditions and light yellow under acidic conditions. It forms a yellow red lake with magnesium hydroxide. It forms chelates with metal ions, especially iron ions, resulting in discoloration. About 5mg / kg iron ions begin to affect the pigment. When it is more than 10mg / kg, it becomes reddish brown and the dyeing capacity is reduced. Therefore, appropriate containers need to be selected.
