Nystatin tablets have a wide spectrum of antifungal effects, high antibacterial activity against candida, cryptococcus neoformans, aspergillus, mucor, microspore, histoplasma capsulatum, bacillus dermatitis and dermatophyte.

The bacteria spectrum and antibacterial mechanism are similar to amphotericin B, which is mainly used for candida albicans infection in skin, mucous membrane, mouth and vagina.

Nystatin is a polyene antifungal antibiotic with powerful pro-inflammatory properties. It is used as a fungal membrane (ergosterol-binding) pore-making agent and as an ion channel to create mycin/ergosterol in lipid bilayer.
