Details

Carbazepine is a dibenzoazine antiepileptic drug, which has similar antiepileptic effect with phenytoin sodium. Most effective for psychomotor attacks, but also for major, localized and mixed attacks. This product is superior to phenytoin in antipyretic effect and can be used for trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia. It can also be used for the treatment of arrhythmia and diabetes insipidus. Oral LD50 was 3750mg/kg in mice and 4025mg/kg in rats.
